Dorota
Staszewska yesterday was pulled over by
the Hawaii State Police for exceeding the
speed limit in waters off Kihie Maui.
Dorota, who's blatant disregard for rules
and regulations was stopped by 3 police
officiers and lectured for 1/2 hour during
her training session on Maui. Dorota who
first thought it was a joke, continued to
sail on her merry way, but soon realized
they were serious, as the yelled at the
top of there lungs. "PUT YOUR SAIL
DOWN IMMEDIATELY, PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE
AIR". Dorota then realized she needs
some of her charm to talk her way out of
this one.
Dorota in shock afterwards commented-
"I didn't realise I was doing
anything wrong, I usually am free to take
advantage of my board speed most of the
time, but this time was different".
Assisted by Phil McGain, who currently
holds certified "A" water
license in Hawaii, which enables him to
exceed all speed limits at anytime had
this to say- "Dorota needs to apply
for this special license next time she
comes to Hawaii, it's really a pain to
have to deal with these guys everytime you
want to train".
